Southern Maine Speech and Language Services LLC is a small and growing group of very dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists. Each therapist has varied experience, areas of interest and expertise. We are dedicated to continue our own learning in an effort to better assist our clients. We offer experience in both new theraputic and evaluative options as well as successful longstanding tried and true treatment strategies.

| Jacki Billington M.S. CCC-SLP
Jacki is a Speech and Language Pathologist and the owner of Southern Maine Speech and Language Services LLC. She received her Bachelor's degree in communication sciences and disorders from the University of Colorado at Boulder and her Master's of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Emerson College in Boston. Jacki moved to Maine from Massachusetts in 1996 and has loved it here in Maine ever since. She has over 18 years experience working with children and young adults with communication disorders. She has vast experience working with toddlers and preschoolers as well as school-aged children in a variety of settings. Jacki has extensive training in Social Pragmatic Language Disorders and has completed the highest level of training (Internship) at the prestigious Social Thinking Center in San Jose, California. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband, 3 children and her Golden Retriever- "Big Papi" and Flat-Coat Retriever named “Brady”.

| Alicia Hirning, M.S. CCC-SLP
Alicia received her Masters Degree of Science from Northeastern University in 1997 and her undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders from the University of New Hampshire. Her experience includes working with children from birth to age 5 with a variety of speech and language disorders. Alicia is a Maine native and in her spare time enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, reading and being outdoors.

| Amanda Thayer, M.S. CCC-SLP
Amanda joined Southern Maine Speech and Language Services, LLC in June of 2022 after she graduated with her Master of Arts degree from The University of Maine at Orono in May of 2022. She also earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maine at Orono. Amanda has experience with a variety of individuals with communucation disorders as she has worked in schools as well as out patient pediatric clinics. She also has experience with teletherapy. Prior to becoming an SLP Amanda worked as a Behavioral Health Professional in both home and community based environments.
